Chinese Crested Dog Rescue Service

About us...

The Chinese Crested Dog Rescue Service has been operational since 1995.
Every year there is a steady increase in the dogs needing our help - and we now assist over 250 Cresteds a year. We also put into permanent foster care those dogs that are either too old or too ill to be re-homed.

The Service is funded entirely by donation.

There is no fixed minimum donation for adopting a dog, our priority has always been getting the very best home for each individual dog. We are at this time seeking charitable status.
Funds are always needed to ensure that we can continue to provide the level of care these dogs deserve, and maintain the Services neutering policy. We also raise funds at dog shows by having a stand of donated goods.

We would welcome any assistance to help raise funds for the Service as sadly there is a growing number of this unique and charming breed needing help.
Foster homes are also required in all areas.
Any assistance with transportation, funding and fostering would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to those of you who are already helping.

thank you for the welcome. im so lucky to be able to adoped 2 wonderful ex show dogs after the sad lost of my 15 yr old GSD to cancer. ive never had a chinese crested before but looked long and hard at my own life stile and what i could offer to a new dog.ive only had them for 3 days and already im madly in love with them and fit perfect into my life. they have been a joy with no settling in problems at all. i would be grateful for good advice anyone could give on anything so that i can carry on building that unspoken bond you have with your dog.

Thanku :) I'm so glad to have found your site. I love cresties and would prefer to give a good home to a more unfortunate dog than buy a puppy.

Many thanks for your kind welcome.  I've been the owner of 2 powder puffs in the past, and after having 2 choc labs it was a huge change, but a very welcome one.  Currently I have a 10.5 year old Lhaso Apso which I inherited from an ex.  I found the character of my two powder puffs wonderful, so cuddly, cute and a pleasure to have.  I'm hoping to get another Chinese, maybe a hairless and also take on an older one as I think often older dogs do get passed by in favour of puppies.

Hi to everyone!! I am a dog person, I have setters (breed, show and judge) a chichuahua and a small terrier. I fell in love with crested three years ago at Crufts (discover dogs) and hope to gain one to my flock.

I have an loving, enclosed home, near good open runs and oodles of patience and look forward to talking to new people here.

Kind regards

Wendy
